Thank you for your continuing interest in the proper allocation of delegates to voting precincts throughout Utah.

Prior to the state convention on Saturday, May 13, 2006, state delegates received a letter from ten party chairs, urging state delegates to support the delegate reallocation amendment at the convention. This letter was printed on state party letterhead, and was apparently mailed by the state party.

In response, State Central Committee (SCC) member David Spackman authored a resolution directing the State C/B Committee to draft a rule prohibiting the use of party funds to advocate only one side of an issue, and to bring it back to the SCC at the third-quarter meeting.

David's resolution is on the agenda of the SCC Meeting scheduled for Saturday, June 24, 2006.

What you can do to help now!

Thomas Jefferson (letter to Edward Carrington, 16 January 1787)
Cherish, therefore, the spirit of our people, and keep alive their attention. Do not be too severe upon their errors, but reclaim them by enlightening them. If once they become inattentive to the public affairs, you and I, and Congress, and Assemblies, Judges, and Governors, shall all become wolves.
